Did you know?
The polar bear has webbed feet.
They have small ears so they won’t freeze.
They live to be about 30 years old.
Their hair is really transparent, the way it reflects makes it look white.
Under their fur they have black skin.
Males do not help protect their cubs.
Ready to make your own Polar Bear?!
2 pieces of white paper (card stock or construction paper is preferred)
Black Marker or Crayon
Googly Eyes (not necessary)
Use a black marker to add the details. We didn’t have googly eyes, so we used the marker to draw our own eyes on.
Paint one of the pieces of white paper blue with the water colors. This will represent the ice. Let this dry before moving to Step #2.
Trace and cut out the polar bears body, legs, nose, and face. We turned a bowl upside down for the body and then traced a lid for the face.
Glue the pieces on top of each other in the middle of the page. And, name your Polar Bear, of course!
